One store, two worlds.

The project
Context
Mister Chew is a shop in the centre of Salerno with two very different product families: candy and sweets on one side (Haribo, Chupa Chups, Mentos, Goleador), smoking accessories on the other (lighters, e-cigarettes, cigar tools), sold to consumers and to professional buyers. The old site ran on PrestaShop: dated, hard to update, and treating both worlds the same way.
Platform: Shopify (Horizon, custom Liquid + CSS) · Site: misterchew.it
The brief
Migrate from PrestaShop to Shopify with 248 URL redirects and the full catalogue.
Give each product family its own identity without splitting the store in two.
Handle B2B pricing for professional customers inside the same storefront.
Decisions
Category-aware theming
Every page knows which world it belongs to. A body class per category switches palette, buttons, breadcrumbs, cards and even the footer’s wave graphic: pink and lilac for sweets, gold and brown for smoking accessories. One theme, two coherent experiences.
Migration as an SEO project
248 redirects mapped from PrestaShop, product taxonomy rebuilt into two parent collections and eight sub-collections, SEO titles and descriptions written for all 239 products, H1 structure fixed on every collection template. Rankings carried over instead of starting again.
B2B without a second store
Professional buyers get their own discount flow and a cart data form, with Box / Half Box variants matching how the trade actually orders.
Details that make it feel branded
A video intro loader shown once per session, brand logo tickers per category, hover-image swaps on collection cards, uniform portrait product images across every template, custom button presets per palette, and an FAQ written from the questions the shop actually gets.

Different industries, same approach: structure first, then design, then search.
